Home Cooked Memories

Updated: Sep 14, 2019

Blogging is something I have thought about doing for a couple of years now but just never took the time to do it. I do so many events, memory making activities and cook so many meals in my kitchen that I have plenty of content and ideas...but it all takes time, right?

Each day I have to decide what and who I am going to pour into. I have children and grandchildren that are quickly growing and the statement "the days are long but the years are short" has a different meaning to me at this stage of life. I have a husband of 27 years and we have a great marriage because we put time and effort into it. I mentor several young women and love on church congregation and that takes time. We all have things that call for our time and attention. Maybe yours look a little different than mine, but they are there.

So, why take time to blog or plan dinners or plan parties? Because I think there is nothing like home cooked memories! When I think back to MY childhood memories, I think of dinnertime conversations and the time my Mom made puppets with my friends and the 10th birthday party that was so much fun. As a mom, wife and hostess I have tried to create "home cooked memories" around my dinner table and put the extra touches into an event that make people smile and remember.

My goal is to help you create those same memories..."home cooked memories" that make your friends and family just smile when they think about you!
